Yarn Pop, Patterns & You!

When the Yarn Pop line emerged in 2011, the black and white Dandelion print pattern with the yellow lining was among the first patterns.  As retailers and consumers have discovered Yarn Pop, this particular pattern has become the signature piece.  Yarn Pop bags are 100% cotton and we try to select patterns that not only work well with the bag design, but reflect the fun-loving nature of our customers.

Did you know that one of the newer additions to the line, the Green Dots & Stripes, was chosen to be included based on feedback from our fans?  The canvas is very natural with a nice ‘raw’ quality and the color palette work really well to create a unisex knitting project bag.

To celebrate our fans we would like to giveaway one Toteable Yarn Pop in the Green Dots & Stripes pattern! The “Toteable” style is perfect for carrying all your projects, from socks to sweaters, as well as your smaller Yarn Pop’s. With a removable and adjustable strap, you can make it fit your shoulder perfectly and inside you will find three pockets for carrying your phone, needles, notions and anything else you may need. Please leave a comment on this blog post and let us know what project would be the first to grace your new project bag! When you leave a comment, please make sure you put your e-mail address in the ‘E-mail’ field (it will not display publicly and will not be shared).  See the official rules here.

We love being able to interact with our fans! We have a KAL forming for a fall accessory; check it out in our Ravelry group or on our Facebook page! If you are on-the-go with your Yarn Pop you can also tweet us @yarnpop.

  1. I was gifted the “Color Affection” pattern for my birthday, and I have yarn on the way from Fibernymph Dyeworks. So getting a new Yarn Pop bag would be the perfect place to hold my next WIP!

My project just waiting to hop in this great bag is Azzu’s shawl I’m going to knit with some great fall colored Crazy Zauberball.

  3. Love the new fabric! A colorwork shawl in Plucky feet would be the first project to grace this bag! Not sure which pattern just yet, so many beautiful options :)

  4. I would put my Quaker’s Ridge Shawette in as my first project to go in the bag! Love these bags.

  6. I will starting the Evenstar shawl soon and would love to put it in this bag!

  7. I am going to be participating in a KAL for the Hiro sweater starting on the autumnal equinox. I think my daughter’s Petite Hiro would be fab to put in the Toteable. It is even going to be three colors! :)

I was taught by Kristen Kapour how to do color work with two hands.
I am just starting my first color work project and would love a yarn pop bag to keep my yarns from getting tangled.
    Good Luck to everyone!

  9. Tracey Kane

I’d put my very first sweater in it! I already have the yarn, picked a pattern and the gauge swatch is completed. The yarn was give to me (!)

  10. I’m going to be knitting the Hyla Brook shawl and would love to have the bag for this project :-)

  11. Stripes!! I requested stripes during my first visit at the Yarn Pop booth at Stitches Midwest 2012. Love this unisex pattern. I am working on my first sweater spin: spinning yarn for a sweater. It’s a big undertaking and I’ll be designing the sweater (for myself) once the spinning is done. This would make a great project bag for the project.

I’ve been using your bags for years. They are so well made and the zippers are really nice. Even when I’ve stuffed too much in them, having the large teeth on the zippers means I can usually retrieve my projects without damage. I don’t have the tote yet and it would mean I wouldn’t have to stuff a larger project into a smaller bag!

I so need a project bag! I would put the entrelac wrap that I’m working on in it. Thanks for the chance :-)

  14. Maybe the Mariposa I’m going to be working on-although I think whatever is chosen for the KAL on Rav would be a perfect addition. ;) Cant wait to order some of these for gifts!

    “Yarn Pop, Patterns & You!”
A “newbie” to this wonderful craft. I think I’ll start off with a small knitted scarf. Love the look of layered scarves and really love the stylish tote. I don’t think my project would be stuck someone in the corner and forgotten if my supplies are tucking into that tote!

  16. Becky Moreno

I love this tote!! With Christmas around the corner I need to get started on gifts, usually toys for neices and nephews, and this would be perfect to take to work on projects in waiting rooms and feel so stylish at the same time!

  17. I would love to use this to carry my newly started Bascom cardi around with me.

  18. I am planning to cast on the shapely boyfriend cardigan soon. This bag would be perfect for it as even the yarn coordinates. :)
