FAQ

How much can Yarn Pop hold?

370 yards, center pull sock yarn – set of 7″ DPN #2

Two Skeins, 370 yard center pull sock yarn & 400 yard center pull sock yarn – two 24″ circulars #2

Why the grommet?

For some projects, grommets can help keep yarn organized while knitting (like multiple colors, double strands, two socks at a time).

While traveling, using the grommet allows you to keep the skein and notions safely zipped up while working on the project (no more skeins rolling down the airplane or train aisle!).

What if I don’t want to use the grommet?

Yarn Pop is designed to be a great project bag, whether the grommet is used or not. With a large zipper, you can always be assured that your project will stay safe, and while working on your project, you can still zip up the bag and feed the yarn through a small opening.

The zipper was chosen because yarn doesn’t snag on it. We have some customers who use the grommet(s) to put their circular tips through while in transit so they don’t need to worry about the needles snagging their lacework.

How do I store my project while in transit?

When you close the zipper on the Yarn Pop, there is a little gap. Use this gap to feed the yarn from the grommet to the inside of the bag.

What about a handle?

We now offer handles that attache directly to the zipper using a simple slip knot.  We made it easy to attach and remove them for the most flexibility.  You can find them in our store.
